By law, higher education in the Czech Republic is free of charge for citizens of all nationalities at public and state universities, as long as they have choosed to study in the Czech Republic in the Czech language. The only fees that may apply are nominal fees for the administration of admission proceedings, fees for extending study duration beyond a set point of time, or if a student wishes to complete his education in a foreign language.
